This is a very narrow shoe. Even after going up a half size I could barely get my foot in the top of the shoe.

So bummed. I hate that I have to send these back. Surprised at how narrow these are, and I thought my feet were already pretty narrow. Had hoped these would make me feel as cool as I thought I was in 1988. Now I’m just reminded that I’m a ridiculous fat-footed 50 year old.

I am happy with my Freestyle Hi High Top shoes! They look very cute, seem well made, feel good. I wear a standard size8M in most brands but I had to get an 8.5M in these. Slightly rubbing on my heels the first time I wore them, but feel fine now.

I’ve been wearing Reebok Freestyle High Tops for more than 35 years because they fit well, they look good (without being flashy), they’re comfortable, well-made and hold up well for my purposes.

I ordered these shoes for their cute vintage looks and comfort.( I walk a lot as an urban photographer but refuse to wear boring shoes while doing that.) They really do look good and are very comfortable to wear – once I got the right size. I am technically US 9.5 but always order a 10 for just a little extra room. This 10, however, did’t provide any extra room and made me constantly aware of my big toe hitting the top front. I exchanged the 10 for 10.5 and now the shoes fit great.

I wore this style in the 80’s, & loved them! I gave them two stars because they were too narrow, & uncomfortable, but love the style. I usually wear a 9, & ordered a 9 1/2, based on others’ reviews; even a half a size larger, they still didn’t feel good. My big toe had the right amount of room; it didn’t hit the edge of the front, but my foot felt squished. I really wanted to love these as much as I did in my younger years, but sadly, I had to return them.

I’ve been wearing the Freestyle Hi since 1982. Have purchased many of the colors and stylings over the years and will always keep coming back so long as they’re manufactured. The ankle support is the best feature next to the clean style and comfort.

I love these so much, I bought them in a few colors!
These are synthetic-coated leather, so they may be more durable than the old school shoes. I do kind of miss that leather smell (it’s there, it’s just very faint) and the feel of leather, but I still really love these shoes.
size up 1/2 size – I did that even though I have narrow feet, and I’m glad I did. there’s a bit of room at the toe, but sizing up feels necessary because there’s not as much give and stretch in the synthetic leather.
this review is for the black ones, they are awesome!
the pink and purple are wonderful too, just know that the colors (depending on your screen) are different than they look in photo. the purple is purple, even though it looks bright blue. the pink is dark, and really lovely.
